1. Ask a student to list out their one complete meal. Classify parts of the meal according to nutrients: proteins, carbohydrates and fat. Ask students to give a few more examples of food containing each of the nutrients.

2. Make a list of junk food items (chips, coke, oily food items, etc) that you generally eat. Conduct a poll to check how many of your friends eat the same items. Discuss whether eating such food items are good for health. What effects they have on our body

Lesson Plan version 1.1 activities

1. Ask students about food item they like the most. Ask them to prepare a list of the main nutrients in that item with the help of their elders.

2. Ask students to choose a balanced diet for one day according to their preferences.

3. Ask students to inquire their parents or elders what type of adulterants they find in food materials such as in rice, lentils etc.
