1. Ask students to collect some materials like straw, a piece of cloth, matchsticks, a piece of plastic, paper, iron nails, stone pieces, glass, etc.  Under the supervision of the teacher try to burn each of these materials one by one. Make a chart and If combustion takes place mark the material combustible, otherwise mark it as non-combustible

Objective: To know about fire, how it spreads, to extinguish it and to know about fire safety rules

- Combustion

- Controlling fire

- Modern fire extinguishers and how to operate them

- Uses of phosphorus and sulphur

Learning Outocme:

- Students know how a fire spreads, how to control it

- They know about fire extinguishers and types

- They know combustible substances phosphorus and sulphur and their uses in daily life
