1. Divide the class into three groups A, B and C.

1. Group A is to list the activities in their daily lives as well as the lives of others which pollutes the air.
2. Group B is to list down the negative impact of the activities listed by Group 1 on the environment and on other living beings.
3. Group C must list down ways in which they believe they can reduce this pollution to counter or address the impact that Group 2 has identified.

2. Divide the class into two groups to start a debate on the following topics:

1. Should we celebrate Diwali by bursting crackers or not?
2. Should industries which generate huge amounts of revenue for the country be asked to shut down in certain areas because they are polluting the air?
3. Should we not allow farmers to use pesticides and fertilizers since it pollutes the atmosphere?

3. Ask students to draw pictures of the following:

1. Of the atmosphere with its different layers and mark them.
2. Indicating the cycle of acid rain.
