1. Identify the list of objects/things at home (plastic bottles, vegetable peels, etc.) that is not needed and can be named as “waste”. Ask them to identify the type of waste, i.e., organic waste, plastic waste etc.

2. Discuss the importance of 4R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Refuse) in waste management and how can implement the same in daily life.

3. Divide the class into 3-4 groups and ask them to prepare a poster on waste management. The best one can be displayed in the classroom.

3. Make a compost pit in your school backyard and at home.
