Objective: To teach the different methods of separation of substances.

Subtopics to be covered:

Methods used to separate mixture of solids. (Hand picking, Winnowing, Sieving, Magnetic separation)
Methods of separation of insoluble solids from liquids. (Sedimentation, Decantation, Filtration)
Methods of separation of solid substances dissolved in liquids. (Evaporation, Condensation)

Learning Outcome:

Students can understand the methods used to separate substances.
