Objective: To teach the students about air, light, land, soil, water bodies, plants and animals around us that constitute our environment.

Subtopics to be covered:

  1. Garbage
  2. Types of garbage (Degradable wastes, Non-biodegradable waste, Disposal of garbage)
  3. Benefits of garbage disposal
  4. Pyramid of solid waste management
  5. Vermi composting

Learning Outcome:

  1. Students understand the concepts of Recycling, Re-using and Composting.
  2. Students can segregate materials into degradable and non-degradable substances.
