Activities

1. Take a cardpaper piece and draw a circle of any radius of your choice. Divide the circle into 8 equal parts. Shade each portion with a different colour (yellow, orange, red, pink, green, blue, violet, dark colour). Push a pen refill or a stick and rotate the sheet. See the colour of the rotating sheet and discuss why you see that colour.

Lesson Plan version 1.1 activities

1. Divide children into groups and give each group an A4 sheet paper. Ask children to fold it exactly half. Then fold it again half then half and so on. Now introduce the parts of fractions.

2. Ask children to draw circles and shade 1/4, 3/4, 5/8, 6/9 and also ask children to identify proper fractions from the given fractions with proper reasons. 12/7, 3/8, 1/4, 14/15, 4/5
