[edit]

Course Content / Subtopic list:

  1. Plane Figures And Solid Shapes,Faces, Edges, Vertices
  2. Nets For Building 3D Shapes, Drawing Solid shapes
  3. Viewing Different Sections Of A Solid shapes

Lesson Plan

[Contributor - Kripa S]

Objective: Learn relation between 2D and 3D shapes

Subtopics to be covered:

- Difference between a 2D figure and a 3D shape

- Vertex, edge and face for a 3D shape

- Convert a 3D shape into a 2D figure and vice versa (nets)

- View of a 3D shape from top, from a side , from front

Learning Outcome:

- Students can identify whether a given shape is a 2D plane figure or a 3D solid shape

- They know to draw 2D figure for a given 3D shape

- They can draw a front view, top view or a side view 2D figure for a 3D shape
