Learning Outcome:

  1. Students know the difference between metals and non metals
  2. They know which are the noble metals
  3. They how the purity of gold is assigned
  4. They know how corrosion happens

1. Make a list of articles around you that are made of metal

2. List some examples of metal objects that have been made due to the properties :

a) Malleability

b) Ductility

3. Name some metal objects that exhibit:

b) Ductility

c) Lustre

d) Hardness

e) Sonorous properties

f) Good conductor of heat

g) God conductor of electricity

4. Take a walk around your locality and make a table of the various metals and non metals used in various objects.
