Subtopics to be covered:

1. Classification of cells
2. Difference between plant and animal cells
3. Micro organisms

Learning Outcome:

1. Students know that cell is the basic constituent of an organism
2. They know how plant cells are different from animal cells
3. They know that some micro organisms are useful while some are harmful

Boil a hen’s egg. Remove the shell. What do you observe? A white material surrounds the yellow part. White material is albumin which solidifies on boiling. The yellow part is yolk. It is part of the single cell. You can observe this single cell without any magnifying device.

Note: This activity can be done by students at home. Alternatively either the Class Assistant or few students can get boiled eggs to the school to observe this
