3. Take a half meter long cardpaper, normal paper or plastic sheet and make a tube out of it. Look through it at some object. Now bend the tube and try to look at the object. The object will not be visible. Why so? It is because light travels in a straight line.

4. Take two pots with new saplings. Keep one pot in darkness and other pot in sunlight. After 2 days observe the two saplings. What change do you observe? The plant that received sunlight grows and looks fresh and green, while the other plant looks pale. This shows that light is necessary for growth of plants

Lesson Plan version 1.1 activities

1. Take clear water in a glass beaker. Pass a beam of laser rays through it. Check whether the beam is seen in the water. Now use The dropper to add few drops of milk to the water and stir. The water becomes slightly turbid. Now pass the laser beam into it again. A light beam will show the existence of light rays.

2. Cover the mouth of the lampshade properly with the black paper using sticking tape. Pick a hole of 1 to 2mm in the centre of the paper using a packing needle. Take clear water in beaker. Light the bulb and place the beaker in contact with the hole.
