1. Ask the students to sit quietly and count how many times they breathe per minute. (The average breathing rate is 16 to 18 times per minute)

2. Materials: Two transparent glasses with cover, one straw and limewater.

Method:

i) Fill two glasses with limewater and cover them. Make a hole on the cover of one cup.

ii) Insert the straw and blow some air into the first glass alone. Observe the changes.

4. Take deep breaths keeping your hand on your chest. Do you notice any movement?
