Dear Volunteer Teacher,

Abstract

Tenses refer to the state or time of a verb or action. It comprises 3 major tenses- Past, Present and Future. Let us take an example to understand the grammar for class 9 and 10 better.
Past Tense: The actions that have already occurred. It is indicated by adding “-ed” after the infinitive verb or adding words like “was” or “were”.

For Example,

  • Kriti played football.
  • He was going to the market yesterday.

Lesson Outline

A lesson outline along with learning outcome has been provided to help you plan and teach a topic.

Learning Outcome: Differentiate between the tenses and aspect Use tenses appropriately.
