Ask a student to list out their one complete meal. Classify parts of the meal according to nutrients: proteins, carbohydrates and fat. Ask students to give a few more examples of food containing each of the nutrients.

Lesson Plan version 1.1 activity

1. As a simple experiment showing monosaccharide and disaccharides are sweet and dissolve in water .with the help of class assistant teacher can show a beaker with water dissolving honey and students can taste it.

starch is insoluble, in a beaker containing water add starch powder .ask the students to observe it .polysaccharides are insoluble in water.

2. lipids are insoluble in water.

take a glass beaker with water and put 1 or 2 drops of oil in to it and ask the students to observe .(take the help of class assistant if required)
