Objective: To teach the students about cell and its structure

Subtopics to be covered:

- Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes

- Unicellular and Multicellular Organisms

Learning Outcome:

- Students know about the levels of organizations in human body (cell - tissue - organ - organ system - organism)

- They know about prokaryotes, eukaryotes, unicellular and multicellular organisms

Boil a hen’s egg. Remove the shell. What do you observe? A white material surrounds the yellow part. White material is albumin which solidifies on boiling. The yellow part is yolk. It is part of the single cell. You can observe this single cell without any magnifying device.

Note: This activity can be done by students at home. Alternatively either the Class Assistant or few students can get boiled eggs to the school to observe this
