1. Try to collect samples of water from a tap, pond, river, well and lake. Pour each into separate glass containers. Compare these for smell, acidity and colour.

1. With the help of class assistant make 3 small pieces of paper. Smear oil on one side of the paper pieces. Keep one of them inside a room, one outside a room and another near a bus stand or near busy roads . Collect them after 2 or 3 hours, observe .

2. As there are water scarcity in many areas after learning this topic ask the students regarding their role in maintaining water sources around them clean.
