1. Revise plurals in the class. Teacher, Class assistant or a student says an example of singular. The rest of the class will say the plural - apples. Stress on the 's'. Repeat this with different examples hen, dog, bat, ant, elephant, boy, house etc. Exaggerate the –s at the end so they can hear it.
2. Show a picture of noun and repeat the above step. The students would see an image and tell the singular and the plural.

1. Show two pictures in class. One picture of a singular object eg, one apple and the other of two apples. Ensure you display only regular objects that use regular plurals with an 's' at the end.
2. Have the student point to the single picture and say “one apple”. Then have him / her point to the double picture and say “two apples”. You will probably have to say this for the students for a while so that they can hear what it’s supposed to sound like. Exaggerate the –s at the end so they can hear it. Keep doing this until the students can do this with any picture you give him.
3. Split the class into 5 groups and ask each group to list 2 plurals ending with 's' and one example of plural for any other rules in addition to the most common 's' rule.
