Objective: To teach the students about different kinds of quadrilaterals; how to measure and and how to construct
Subtopics to be covered:
- Construct quadrilaterals with given measurements using pencil, compass and scale
- Learn to make angles using compass.
- Construct a quadrilateral using the given measurements of sides and angles
- Learn to construct a Rhombus and Parallelogram using given measurements
- Make a Square Area using the the measurement of the polygon side
- Make a Rectangle Area using the the measurements of the polygon sides
Learning Outcome:
- Students can draw different kinds of quadrilaterals using measurements and angles.
- They know to measure angles and use the compass effectively.

1. Take 2 pens or sticks on one length and 2 more of a different length. Make a rectangle using these 4 sticks. Push two opposite side sticks a little changing its angle from 90 deg. Is it still a rectangle or is it a parallelogram? Push the newly formed shape to the other side to make a different angle. Would it then be called a rectangle? Share your views.
2. Make two teams. One team will draw a quadrilateral on the board, and other team has to identify which one it is. Play this for 5-6 rounds. The team that scores more points wins.
