- Common standard units- quintal, ton, kg
- Conversion of units of weight
- Measuring bigger weights with multiples of smaller weights

1. Divide the class in to 5 groups (A, B, C, D and E). Ask the Students of group A to convert their weight into grams (Ex: if the weight of a child is 20 kg, then she/he should convert 20kg into grams which is equal to 20000 gm). Continue the same for other groups. Group B (Convert weight into centi grams), Group C (Convert weight into Deci grams), Group D (Convert weight into Milligrams), Group E (Convert weight into Hecta grams)
2. Divide the class in to 5 groups (A, B, C, D and E). Add the weight of all children in each group. Convert it to ton and quintal.
3. Ask students what would they categorise as heavier than them and lighter than them.
