Objective: To teach the students about various kinds of  waste materials, environmental pollution causes, and how to cure it.

Subtopics to be covered:

1. Waste Material - their source and classification
2. Types of waste material - factory waste, domestic waste, agricultural waste , etc
3. Recyling- usefulness, 4Rs of environment - recycle,reuse,refuse,reduce with example

Learning Outcome:

1. Students get to identify various different kinds of waste
2. They get to know the need and usefulness of recycling

1. Identify the list of objects/things at home (plastic bottles, vegetable peels, etc.) that is not needed and can be named as “waste”. Ask them to identify the type of waste, i.e., organic waste, plastic waste etc.

2. Discuss the importance of 4R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover) in waste management.

3. Make a compost pit in your school backyard and at home.
