1. Take two plants of same category, leave them in open air, now water one plant daily and leave the other one as it is.

Observation: We observe that the plant which is being watered daily has grown greener & healthy whereas the other plant has withered away.

Conclusion: If you start watering withered plant you will see that withered plant will also start growing green & healthy.Water helps in growth of plants.

2. As we all know that fishes live in water, what if we take out fish from water for some time.

Observation: Fish will start dying but if we put that fish again in water then will be alive.

Conclusion: All the water plants & animals depend upon water for their lives.

3. Take beaker put some water, add some sand soil particles into it.

Observation: Sand and soil particles settle down you will find a thick layer at the bottom and water above it.

Now pass this water through a filter(sieve) which will further block some solid particles going in water. Above process of passing water though sieve is Filtration

4. Take beaker add some ice to it, fix thermometer inside

beaker and note the temperature

Observation: Temperature shows 0 degCelsius till whole ice melts.

Conclusion: Water freezes at 0°C

5. Repeat above experiment but put some salt in it and note the difference in temperature.

Observation: Ice melts quickly and lower freezing point than earlier.

Conclusion: Addition some substances like salt can lower the freezing point because salt dissolves in the liquid water in ice & lowers FP.

6. Take beaker add some water to it, fix thermometer inside beaker, put flame below water and note the temperature

Observation: Temperature shows 100°Ctill whole water converts into vapor.

Conclusion: water boils at 100°C

7. Take water in 2 different buckets, in one bucket mix some mineral salts like potassium , chloride, magnesium sulphates, in another bucket do not add anything, now in both the buckets dip cloth and put some detergent.

Observation: Bucket1 will have less froth whereas bucket2 will have more froth.

Conclusion: Bucket1 has hard water Bucket2 has soft water.
