Objective: To teach the children about body movements in human beings and animals and the use of bones and muscles for their movements.

Subtopics to be covered:

  1. Various joints in our body (Joints (Ball and socket joints, Pivotal joints, Hinge and fixed joints)
  2. Human Skeleton
  3. Movement of animals (eg. Earthworm, snail, cockroach, fish, birds and snakes)

Learning Outcome:

  1. Students know about various types of bones and joints in our body that help us to move in different ways.
  2. They know that skeleton is bones a framework of bones that give shape to our body and the skull is made of many bones joined together to protect very important parts of the body, the brain and other internal organs.
  3. Students get to know movements of various animals.
