Objective: Revisit Real numbers

Subtopics to be covered:

- Define rational numbers

- Properties of rational numbers based on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division

- Simplify numerical expressions involving 3 brackets

- Revise Exponents and laws of exponents

- Basic squares, square roots, cubes, cube roots

- Find square roots and cube roots by prime factorization method for a given number

Learning Outcome:

- Students can solve sums based on properties of rational numbers

- Students can solve sums on rational numbers involving 3 brackets

- Students can find square, square root, cube, cube root of a given number

1. Make two teams. One team will write a number on board, and other team will guess whether it is a real number or not.

2. Make a chart of how rational numbers consists of integers, whole numbers, natural numbers.

3. Make a chart of how real number system consists of both rational and irrational numbers.
