Objective: To construct quadrilaterals, find area of quadrilateral

Subtopics to be covered:

- Quadrilateral, its area and construction with given information (5 types)

- Trapezium, its area and construction with given information (4 types)

- Parallelogram, its area and construction with given information (4 types)

Learning Outcome:

- Students can construct a quadrilateral trapezium, parallelogram based on given measurements from one of the explained types

1. Take 2 pens or sticks on one length and 2 more of a different length. Make a rectangle using these 4 sticks. Push two opposite side sticks a little changing its angle from 90 deg. Is it still a rectangle or is it a parallelogram? Push the newly formed shape to the other side to make a different angle. Would it then be called a rectangle? Share your views.

2. Make two teams. One team will draw a quadrilateral on the board, and other team has to identify which one it is. Play this for 5-6 rounds. The team that scores more points wins.
