Objective: To teach the students about various water forms, distribution and water management.

Subtopics to be covered:

  1. Sources Of Water (Rain water, Glaciers, ice and snow, River water, Sea and Ocean water, Lake and Pond water)
  2. Forms Of Water (Solid, Liquid, Gas)
  3. Depletion Of Water (Natural forces, Human causes, Salt water intrusion, Commercialization of water resources, Sand grabbing from rivers)
  4. Scarcity Of Water (Factors contributing to the depletion of water table)
  5. Water Management- Rain Water Harvesting (Advantages)
  6. Desalination Of Sea Water (Distillation, Reverse Osmosis)

Learning Outcome:

  1. Students understand the importance of water to humans and they are able to reason how to conserve the precious water.
