Objective:To teach the students about respiration in plants and animals

Subtopics to be covered:

  1. Types of respiration (Aerobic/ Anaerobic respiration)
  2. Differences between breathing and respiration
  3. Human respiratory system
  4. Respiration in Animals
  5. Respiration in Plants

Learning Outcome:

  1. Students understand the process of respiration in animals and plants.
  2. Students can identify and name the respiratory organs with diagrams.

1. Breathe slowly for 1 minute. Inhale and exhale deeply. Now stand up and jog for 20-30 seconds. Feel the difference in breathing after breathing in both cases. (Activity for breathing)

2. Light a matchstick and show it to the children. (Activity to show burning and how energy is released)
