Objective: To revisit natural numbers, whole numbers, integers, rational numbers, fractions, decimals, exponents

Subtopics to be covered:

- Revise Natural numbers, whole numbers, integers

- Operations (+, - , x , ÷) on numbers

- Revise Fractions (types, four operations on fractions)

- Revise decimals (place value, four operations on decimals)

- Introduce Rational numbers (standard form, four operations on rational numbers)

- Revise Exponents and powers (laws of exponents)

Learning Outcome:

- Students can identify a given number as integer, fraction, decimal, exponent

- Students can solve problems on numbers using one of the four operations (+, - , x , ÷ )

1. Make two teams. One team will write a number on board, and other team will guess whether it is a rational number or not.

2. Make a chart of how rational numbers consists of integers, whole numbers, natural numbers.

3. Make a chart of how real number system consists of both rational and irrational numbers.
