Objective: Introduce different types of angles and lines and their properties

Subtopics to be covered:

- Revise concept of point, ray, line, line segment, plane

- Difference between line and line segment

- Symmetry -> line, mirror, rotational

- Types of Angles -> complementary, supplementary, adjacent, linear pair, vertically opposite, corresponding, alternate, interior, exterior

- Types of lines -> intersecting, parallel, perpendicular, transversal

Learning Outcome:

- Students can identify type of line or angle from a given set

- Students can solve problems to find measure of angles in a given figure

- Students can identify symmetry from a given set of figures

1. List any 4-5 things that are symmetrical in your house, locality

2. Collect some flowers, leaves that have one or many lines of symmetry and show it in class.

3. Share examples of point, line segments from daily life. (example: star, bat, tubelight, side of a fan, bench, door etc)

4. Make 8-10 chits of different types of angles. Hand over one chit to one bench and ask them to enact what angle they are. Eg: If it is an acute angle, the students will stand with hands close to each other. If is a complementary angle, two students will stand making an angle with their hands so that total looks 90 deg.
