[Author - Kripa S]
Objective: Introduce symmetry, types of symmetry
Subtopics to be covered:
- Symmetrical figures, mirror symmetry
- Axes of symmetry, lines of symmetry
- Rotational symmetry - 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/6 turn
Learning Outcome:
- Students can identify whether a figure is symmetric or not
- They can find the axes of symmetry for a symmetric figure
- They can identify symmetric figures when rotated by an angle
