Objective: Introduce symmetry, types of symmetry

Subtopics to be covered:

  1. Symmetrical figures, mirror symmetry
  2. Axes of symmetry, lines of symmetry
  3. Rotational symmetry - 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/6 turn

Learning Outcome:

  1. Students can identify whether a figure is symmetric or not
  2. They can find the axes of symmetry for a symmetric figure
  3. They can identify symmetric figures when rotated by an angle
