Subtopics to be covered:

- closed and open shapes

- types of angles

- how change in shape is related to change in internal angle

Learning Outcome:

- Students can find different measures of angle

- Students can identify any shape and angle

1. Make 8-10 chits of different types of angles. Hand over one chit to one bench and ask them to enact what angle they are. Eg: If it is an acute angle, the students will stand close to middle student, if it is an obtuse angle, the students will stand far away from the middle student. If it is right angle, the students will stand on his one side and in front to depict 90 deg.

2. Use 5-6 pens, or sticks. Make different kinds of shapes with these sticks. How many shapes can you make ? How many are open and how many are closed shapes ?

3. Can you make 8 triangles using 6 matchsticks ? Try
