Activity 1:

(i) Group yourself into smaller groups or each bench become a group.

(ii) Among the group find who has the longest pencil by measuring with scale.

Activity 2:

Five volunteers from class pick 5 random items from class and demonstrate to class what is the length, width and height of the object you are holding.

Activity 3:

(i) Take a water bottle. Fill it up with water. To make it more fun add color to the water. (ii) Mark the level of water in your water bottle. (iii) Take few small stones and keep them ready. (iv) Add one stone and note the increase in water level in your water bottle. The stone is occupying space and pushing up the water. (v) Now mark the new level of water in the water bottle.

The difference between the new level of water and initial level of water gives the space occupied by the solid or the volume of the solid. This can be repeated with various objects.
