1. Make a measuring scale on a wall till 180 cm. Measure the height of every student in your class on that scale

2. If you walk fast you will reach finish line sooner or later? How to check? Keep a walking race. 5 Students walk from one end of classroom to other end of the room. See who reaches first. How is speed of the student related to time here? Discuss and share.

1. Take a ball of string. Ask a student to measure a length of four hand-spans and cut it. Repeat it with 2-3 other students. Now compare the length of all pieces of thread. Are they same? If yes, why? If no, why?

2. Measure the length of a bench using your hand spans. Ask your friends also to measure the length of a bench. Record your observations in your own notebook. Compare your answers. Are they same? If yes, why? If no, why?
