Objective: To learn about how plants and animals adapt to climate and show different physical features.

Subtopics to be covered:

- Adaptation in plants - aquatic, desert, snowy region, forest, grasslands

- Adaptation in animals - forest, grassland, desert, snowy region, aerial

- Adaptation in reptiles

- Classification of living organisms

Learning Outcome:

- Students can identify the habitat of a plant or an animal based on the features

- Students can classify the living organisms based on their adaptation

1. Plant a sapling in a pot and tie a thread to the tip of a potted sapling. Keep the thread stretched and tie it to a corner or nail above the plant. What do you observe after ten to fifteen days ? The thread would remain tight or get loosened? What tells us that the plant has grown taller?
