- Students know about formation of electric charge, its properties

- Students can answer about frictional electricity, lightening and how to protect from lightening

1. Use a comb to comb your hair few times and bring the comb close to bits of paper. Do you see the paper bits sticking to the comb? This is called static electricity.

2. Arrange for a piece of paper, plastic cover, nylon cloth, silk cloth, cotton cloth etc. Use these items for rubbing a refill, eraser, wooden scale, steelspoon against them and bring them close to bits of paper. Do the paper bits get attracter to the rubbed item ? Tabulate your observation.
