Lesson Plan version 1.1 Activities

1. To make them familiar about the properties of solids with the help of class assistant ask the children to collect things which can be hold in hand or can be kept without altering their shapes .discuss with them regarding the observation .

2. Remember story of crow apply that,In to a glass of water start putting pebbles one by one into it what do you observe.

3. Take a piece of thread and pull it apart. Take a porceline cup and drop it. What happens? The thread gets cut and cup gets broken. Some solids breaks.

Is it easier to cut a rubber ball than a piece of wood? Yes. This tells us that some solids are soft some are hard.

4. Take the help of class assistant to perform this activity. To explain the property of gases ,place a lighted agarbhatti or can place some flowers at the corner of the room .After some time fragrance spreads across room and covers the entire space , explain them property of air as molecules are very loosely packed in gases it can take up maximum space and process of diffusion.
