1. Sum of two numbers is 74. One of the numbers is 10 more than the other. What are the numbers?

2. Three consecutive integers add up to 51. What are these integers?

3. Share the difference between a variable and a constant

Lesson Plan version 1.1 activities

1.Divide class in two groups. Let one group provide one algebraic expression. The other group must give the variables, constants, terms in that expression.

Points can be awarded for the right answers.

After three rounds, decide the group with most number of points.

2. Ask each student to give an example of equation. After writing it out, ask another student to point out LHS and RHS.
