1. Show the pictures of various monuments in India. Ask the students to identify them and where are they located.
2. Ask students to identify the region for following clues –
- There are camels in the region
- There are coconut trees in this region
- The Rashtrakutas ruled in this region
- Taj Mahal is in this region
- Oasis are found in this region
3. Ask students to draw a rough map of India and colour the geographical areas as follows
- Northern Mountains – blue
- Northern Plains – Green
- Peninsular Plateau - Pink
- Coastal areas – brown
- Desert – Yellow
4. Ask students to identify which season is it right now and write about the features of this season that they observe.
