Objective: To teach the students about production of food from animals and its management

Subtopics to be covered:

  1. Animal Husbandry
  2. Milk Production (including practices in livestock keeping)
  3. Poultry
  4. Apiculture
  5. Fisheries (including marine and inland fisheries)

Learning Outcome:

  1. Students know about animal husbandry
  2. They also know about food production from animals like milk production, poultry, apiculture and fisheries.

1. Make teams and discuss on why farmers rear cattle in villages.

2. Form 5 or 6 students as a group. Choose different types hens and find their characters. If you want to know more details, about you need to ask hen rearers or poultry farmers in your village. Do not forget to collect information about the feed and diseases
