Objective: To teach the students about motion, time and speed

- Measuring speed and time, the units of measurement

- They can solve simple word problems based on speed , time and distance

1. Identify which of these movements are uniform or non uniform

a) Movement of hands of a clock.

b) A boy cycling in a crowded place.

c) Movement of a housefly.

d) The fan in an air cooler running at fixed speed

e) A train entering into a railway station.

f) Flying of kite in air

2. Take a stone, tie a thread to it and whirl it with your hand. Observe the motion of the stone. We see that the stone moves along a circular path.
