Objective: To learn about different shapes and how they are made from 2D nets

Subtopics to be covered:

- Match similar shapes, object with shadow

- Circle, semi circle, radius

- Repetition of patterns

Learning Outcome:

- Students can match two similar shapes

- They know to draw a circle, and tell the radius

- They can identify a pattern that is repeated in a figure

1. Make 8-10 chits of different types of angles. Hand over one chit to one bench and ask them to enact what angle they are. Eg: If it is an acute angle, the students will stand close to middle student, if it is an obtuse angle, the students will stand far away from the middle student. If it is right angle, the students will stand on his one side and in front to depict 90 deg.

2. Use 5-6 pens, or sticks. Make different kinds of shapes with these sticks. How many shapes can you make ? How many are open and how many are closed shapes ?

3. Can you make 8 triangles using 6 matchsticks ? Try
